Western Wood Products does not consider itself to be involved in “Harvesting” but rather the process of forest renewal.

This selection process is designed to achieve a healthy forest with reduced fire danger. Removal of the small diameter trees provides space for the forest to develop.

The wood is received from local, privately held, ranches and has been individually selected for use by the company. Once it is brought to the plant and stacked It is allowed to dry.

Properly drying the wood is critical to the quality of the product produced. Improperly dried wood will be more likely to bend, crack or split.
